The skimmer does not appear to work well in the Fluval Flex 15g tank as it may require cutting and fitting. The Fluval Sea PS1 Protein Skimmer may not fit in the back of a 24g nano cube with the hood closed. There was one reviewer who said it should fit in the Fluval Flex 57 liter tank. The product has been described as noisy and having a break-in period of 4-6 weeks. There have been complaints about the build quality and the amount of microbubbles produced. Some reviewers received the product with missing pieces or as used, although it wasn't indicated as such. One customer received a faulty product that caused electric problems with their fish tank.
