The inner part is fleece and soft to the touch, while the outer layer is slick. The shirt is fitted, but not uncomfortably tight. It's easy to tuck in and stays in place. While the shirt is made of a polyester/spandex blend, it's still able to keep you warm in cold weather. One customer wore it to sub-freezing rugby practices and found it kept her warm, although it only works when you're active. Another customer recommended going up a size if you're tall, as the shirt is tight fitting.
