The EL-USB-3 voltage data logger by Lascar Electronics is a small and easy-to-use device that is recommended for monitoring voltage levels remotely. It has a precision of a tenth of a volt, stores up to 32,500 readings, and generates useful graphs. It is compatible with systems in the range 5-30 volts DC, and has a battery life of one year. It is easy to set up and can be downloaded to Excel for further evaluation. However, this unit will only record 30 volts DC and will not record AC. Also, it requires a Windows computer based on an x36 or x64 chipset. On the positive side, it comes with clip wires that can be left attached to the battery holder with the cap removed, and the included software has an instant graph display that provides flexibility.
