The router comes in V2 version and has the ability to handle a gigabit wired lan. It can be mounted with screw heads and has its own power supply. This unit is capable of setting up and maintaining a secure VPN tunnel and supports IPSec tunnel in V2.0.3.4. However, it does not support PPTP tunneling. The router can be used as a regular router to replace a WiFi router but will lose WiFi services. The Cisco RVS4000 is branded Cisco, however, it is actually a Linksys router and not the same as a newer Cisco router. Some customers have reported issues with incorrect power supplies and slow internet speed on LAN. Overall, the router works well and is easy to configure.
