The Barge All Purpose Cement is a highly recommended adhesive that provides a strong bond. It is much stronger than rubber cement or all purpose cement. It is particularly effective for shoe repair and bonding porous surfaces together. However, it is not recommended for bonding wood and steel. The glue can be difficult to work with as it is unforgiving and once it makes contact with fabric, it is nearly impossible to pull apart without tearing the fabric. The adhesive has a strong odor and should be used in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Some customers have experienced issues with the quantity of the product received.
