The Racor RK19671 Bottom Mount Vacuum Gauge is an essential tool for maintaining a fuel filter's effectiveness. For those who are not aware of what this vacuum gauge does, it measures the restriction of fuel flow through the filter, indicating when it's time to change the filter. This gauge fits on a Racor 900 and 1000 Turbine Series and 2002 to present 500 series gauge, vacuum with a range of -30 to 0 Hg. The gauge comes complete with a handle and gauge. When installing, it's recommended to use sealing compound on the thread for the gauge to secure it to the handle. Customers have measured the existing T-handle of their filter to determine whether this gauge would fit and have found it easy to install. Customers have also suggested that the height of the gauge above the T-handle is approximately 2 inches but should leave room for the threaded part to back out of the hole and, for safety, allow for at least 3 inches above the T-handle.
