It has three sections that allow for a length adjustment from 3ft to 8ft and comes with a 3/8 to a 5/8 screw adapter. Buyers can use almost any microphone with this pole, although the holder attachment it comes with works with most shotgun microphones. The lower (larger) section of the pole above the padded area is about 1 1/8 in in diameter. The walls of the tube are quite thin, so clamping it into knuckle may not be a good idea. It is a high-quality microphone pole that is easy to use and can hold any microphone. The padded handles make it comfortable to use, and it is solidly built but lightweight.
