The Meinl Retractable Nylon Cajon Brush is a must-have accessory for any acoustic percussionist looking to play with ease and convenience. Designed with the nylon bristle, the brushes are not harsh on cajon surface and produce an excellent sound to vibe with various accompanying instruments. The brushes are durable, which makes them usable during rough drumming gigs. The two black-stripped bands holding the brush together when not in use make it easy to store, and this feature also prevents distortion of the brush's bristles. The brushes do not retract into the handle, but this shouldn't be an issue as the brushes are not too long. The sound produced might not resemble metal brushes entirely, as the bristles are not metallic, but it makes an excellent brush sound with grooves and loops while playing. Hence, they come in handy in small coffee house gigs, producing enough noise to accompany neighboring bells and drumkits. Although they are not customized for specific drum surfaces, it can be used on different surfaces such as cajon, washboard, and drum heads.
