Although there is no speed control apart from the pedal, it has a good motor for its price point, runs smoothly and has a drop in bobbin feature. However, there is no needle up/down feature, and the machine has only manual tension which can take some trial and error to get right. Customers who have used it have mixed opinions- some complain about the machine's bobbin getting stuck, while others find it to be an excellent product that performs beyond their expectations. There are mixed reviews about the thread holder's durability, and many complain about the inadequate brightness of the light that comes with the device.
