It creates a perfect 1/4" seam allowance and can be used with or without a seam guide of your choosing. While it is designed to fit Juki TL series machines perfectly, it should also fit many other high shank machines. This foot is for straight stitch only machines, therefore the needle does not move side to side. It sews a true 1/4" seam allowance. Customer Experience: - A customer was satisfied as they needed an exact 1/4" foot and found the Juki foot to be perfect. - Another customer stated that the foot works perfect for their piecing needs. - A customer stated that the cheaper version of this foot has a rod in the hinge that keeps coming out.
