BLU3 Regulators Editorial Review
The BLU3 Nomad Backpack Dive System is a water-cooled system that floats on the water like a buoy, allowing the user to easily dive while it follows them. It is a battery operated air pump with a 30 ft air tube and regulator that pumps air when the user breathes in. It is not recommended to use a full mask for diving at 25ft, but the product did not appear to scare fish away with vibration. The product comes with a free Dry Bag Float that is highly visible, provides buoyancy, and can store dry items. The product cannot be used to add air to the reserve air tank, as it operates at very low pressure, requiring a scuba fill compressor, or a refill adapter that can fill the reserve air tank. To run the system, it is necessary to be in the water. However, the product attracts negative feedback, with a recall notice for the product and customers waiting months for a replacement or instructions. Some customers have serious safety concerns after hearing that a different company had a unit where the wires burned. The product packaging is impressive, included flippers, but no storage for masks.
