The testo 405i Hot-wire Anemometer is a wireless smart probe used for measuring air velocity, in-duct airflow and temperature. Based on the FAQ, it doesn't measure air mass directly and it doesn't compensate for pressure or temperature. It does display live CFM reading and features a trendline function to track changing temperature over time. The device has a telescoping probe that extends up to 16 inches, and it measures air velocity up to 6,000 FPM and air temperature from -4 to 140 degrees F. The device works well, instantly connecting to Bluetooth with continuous temperature and flow reading on the app. The magnet on the back mounts nicely to ductwork, and the Testo app is nice and straightforward to use. However, it has limited range with Bluetooth capability, and the temperature is 10 degrees F too high for some.
