McCormick's Pure Vanilla contains no corn syrup, and the ingredients include vanilla bean extractives, water, and alcohol. The 16 oz. bottle of this vanilla extract comes in plastic packaging with a twist closure, and it does not contain an easy pour spout. Being plant carbohydrates, all sugars and starches are inevitably broken down into glucose to fuel animal bodies. Although alcohol is made by yeast which feeds on sugar or starch and excretes alcohol, alcohol evaporates faster than water, and diabetics should avoid Consuming it.
