Although this product is mainly used for two-way in-flight communication, it is possible to listen to music when installed in the aircraft. It is comfortable to wear, and aircraft noise is well controlled. The headset is an excellent value for money for entry-level student pilots or hobbyist pilots, and passengers may use it as well. Customers have doubts about how these will work in the long run, but so far, they are pleased with the performance. The HS-1A can function with Ham radios but will need an additional adapter. It is compatible with Robinson R-22 beta 2 helicopters if you purchase a Helicopter Headset Adapter Cable. This package does not include a carry bag or case. The microphone stops working for someone after ten flights hours. One customer had trouble with mic sound quality and decided to return the product after repairs. The earphones put a lot of pressure on the ears, causing discomfort for one customer.
