The space between the bracket and top of the drawer is 3.75" H. It is a perfect fit for a macbook air which users have had no issues in using. The drawer can be mounted, but it is not flush with the front of the legs because of how the desk frame mounts to the desktop. The drawer extends 11.5" when fully open.
