The ThermoPro TP50 digital hygrometer is a reliable device that can measure relative humidity and temperature. It does not need calibration, and it is ready to work right out of the box. The backlighting feature does not stay on for longer than 15 seconds, and there is no way to change that. The readings are shown with an arrow that indicates the trend of the measurement over time. The device has a large screen and is easy to move around to different rooms. Note that placing it on a window ledge above the kitchen sink will not give you accurate room readings. Also, keep in mind that it measures the temperature and humidity level wherever it is placed, and square footage is not a factor. This item is non-returnable, so make sure to review all specifications and product reviews before making a purchase.
