The NVIDIA SHIELD Controller is a well-designed controller that is easy to handle and provides easy setup, making it an excellent device. It works with most games that can be used with a controller and is perfect for games like Minecraft and platformers. However, it only works with the SHIELD tablet and SHIELD Portable and needs drivers that no other android device has. The controller has also been tested with Motorola DROID Ultra and Wifi direct devices like Galaxy Tab/Note Pro tablets, but it did not work, making it a wired-only controller for PC. Though it supports Win10 for PCs with Nvidia graphics cards, it needs to be plugged into a USB port to work as a PC controller. The product has had mixed reviews due to faulty sensors in some controllers and sellers advertising pictured controllers but sending older models with fewer specs. The device adds more functionality to the Shield and makes Console mode a viable option but has a limited selection of Android games that is compatible with it.
