DONGKER Power Converters Editorial Review
The TPS5430 Positive Negative Dual Output Module Regulator Power Supply Module is a mixed bag, with good and bad features. While the +/-12v supplies are well matched, the noise and ripple are horrible and require output filtering. It is recommended to put a 220uF on the input and a 470uF in parallel with a .47 and a .1uF ceramic on each of the outputs. The soldering on some components was also found to be skimpy, requiring Desoldering to ensure safety. The output voltage is slightly high, around +/- 12.35v. Despite the need for work, the product does work well and is the only supply found to do the job correctly. The customer made incorrect assumptions about the advertised product, however, the unit does as advertised and is good value for money for certain requirements.
