Dell Servers E3-1225V3 Editorial Review
The Dell PowerEdge T30 T20 is a great mini-tower server that comes with an Intel RAID controller, allowing the user to run RAID 5 with a minimum of three identical hard drives installed. A third-party adapter would be required for installing a 2.5" SSD. The server is not suitable for running 4K movies, but it can be upgraded with a GTX 1050 graphics card. The server does not have iDRAC. Customers recommend installing ECC unbuffered RAM for best performance. The server is quiet and efficient and is ideal for SOHO offices and simple BDR applications. Customers use it as an IP camera server and DVR, and some are running Ubuntu 16.04 without any issues. It does not have the diagnostic hardware that Dell's higher-end PE's have, but it is an excellent product that does the job very well.
