The Dayton Audio MA1260 is a 12-channel amplifier suitable for whole-house audio systems. The unit comes with rack mounting ears and takes up 2U, it is bridgable and when doing so users should remember the minimum impedance for bridged channels is 8 ohms. The MA1260 is the same as the MA1240a, the only difference is the power output. If users need to control certain zones on or off independently or together they are recommended to use Sonos Connect. The amplifier manufacturer provides special plugs that are compatible with speaker wires but alternative connections, such as banana links, would be desirable. The auto-sensor and auto-shut-off setting is a practical feature that allows users to play music via the amp without having to leave it on 24/7 or manually turn the system on/off. Customers have reported no heat issues with the amplifier generating little heat. They have expressed their satisfaction with the quality sound produced by the device with some users stating that they paired the device with the Sonos Connect to achieve the sound. However, one user reported receiving a faulty unit, which stopped working after five months, and despite being under warranty was deemed too costly to repair.
