The Atlas DCA55 Semiconductor Tester is a handy device for testing transistors and diodes. It not only identifies the component but also tests it for gain, current/voltage and leakage characteristics. It can also check and specify thyristors and germanium transistors and diodes. However, it cannot test IGBTs or capacitor and inductor. It is a great tool for those working with germanium transistors and is incredibly easy to use and accurate. Though it is a little expensive, it is well worth the money if you are looking for a tool that can identify, test, and characterise transistors.
