The Grodan RW205002 GRO-Smart Tray Insert is an excellent product for propagating seeds and hydroponic cuttings. These trays are ideal for seedlings to start in before transplanting outside, with the large size (10 inches) suitable for growing dwarf tomato plants in containers. However, it's worth noting that while these cubes provide an ideal environment for seedlings, they don't offer any minerals and nutrients. So, while they are perfect for starting seeds, you will have to water the plants with something that has some plant food to provide them with necessary nutrients. In terms of fitting seed starter cubes, this tray should fit any seed starter cubes, including jiffy and root riots cubes. You can even cut down the tray to fit smaller trays if you have the proper cutting tool and blade. Overall, these trays are sturdy and durable, holding the Grodan rockwool cubes perfectly. Though some customers mentioned receiving broken items, the reviews show that customers who received intact trays were thrilled with their purchase.
