It has a rat tail Construction, meaning the blade comes into the handle and narrows to a thin rod – it's not suitable for sword fighting and is strictly a display item. The handle is oval, and the balance point is roughly 2.5 inches down the blade. There is no scabbard available for the sword, and it's overpriced. However, it is a well-made quality replica that looks and feels great. Some customers have complained about the hangar that comes with it and want to sharpen the blade, although it's not recommended. Overall, it's a must-have for any Lord of the Rings collector.
